The National Archives of the Richard Wagner Foundation Bayreuth collects, maintains and preserves written and pictorial documents, printed works and objects relating to the life, work and lasting impact of Richard Wagner. With its extensive collection of manuscripts, letters, music, objects, photographs and research literature, the National Archives in Bayreuth is the world’s most important research centre on the person, life, work and impact of Richard Wagner.
Through exhibitions in the Richard Wagner Museum as well as scientific research and publications about Richard Wagner’s personality and work, documents and objects are made accessible to the public.
